Male or Female?
We are often asked if a male or a female Queen Elizabeth Pocket Beagle puppy makes a better pet. But both sexes excel at being a house pet. They are equally and easily house trained providing you neuter them before sexual maturity. Either sex will become loving and devoted family members.

Keep in mind that male and females are 'wired differently' and there are general traits that do run true in the animal kingdom. This leads us to advise that a male is just a play-boy, usually more laid back, easy going in temperament, and the female is more in your face, bossy, and controlling. Even after spaying the female will retain much of her dominant temperament.
An Older or Younger Puppy?
Winnie is 5 mos. old, Expresso is 10 wks. old.
Winnie has had all her shots, Expresso will have to follow up twice at the vet for shots.
Winnie as an older puppy can go everywhere immediately, Expresso as a baby and at risk to catch parvo so should not walk on ground accessible by other animals until he's had his last shot past 16 wks.
Winnie is ready for obedience training and Expresso needs to be at least 16 wks.
Winnie will adapt to housetraining quickly and Expresso will need more supervision.
Winnie will adjust to the change in household faster and Expresso will likely cry a few days especially at night in his crate.
Winnie will have more bladder/bowel control and Expresso will have more spontaneous accidents.
